The reformation era slur that Catholics need to stop using to describe ourselves
"Roman Catholic" originated as a slur against Catholics during the Protestant reformation. The majority of Catholics would properly be termed "Latin Catholics". The term "Roman Catholic" may work when talking with Eastern Catholics, but, since I belong to the Latin church, I prefer Latin Catholic.

Y'all, 2025 was one heck of a year, and not in a good way. But, I finished my first book! Technically, I had written other books, but, my first #published book (look for it 15 January 2026, if all goes well). Anyway, I've been on a #Korn kick, lately!

Yeah, I'm not the most #Christmas oriented person. Maybe if we didn't start celebrating Christmas before it was even #Advent and also if we remembered that Christmas was more than one day, I wouldn't feel burned out on it by the time I got here. If I can avoid listening to #Christmasmusic before Christmas I do.

Somehow, the birth of the Saviour of the world, became this corporate holiday instead of this important season. Advent is not #Christmasseason. Christmas season is something separate.
Not so much a #Biblestudy for me today (Linus does that), but, more of a reflection on how annoyed I am by our extremely selfish corporate culture, the doesn't even want to call a holiday by its name. That we celebrate way too early. That should be one of my favorite times of year but is the one I'm actually most annoyed about. I hope everyone has a #MerryChristmas, but as for me, #bahhumbug!
